Heavy Equipment Operator
This course introduces students to the heavy equipment operator career field. Terminology, types and functions of heavy equipment, heavy equipment safety, and operational techniques will be taught.
Upon completion of this course the student will have a general understanding of the requirements necessary to work as a heavy equipment operator for a company preparing for a site for the construction of buildings, roadways or other structures. Students who complete this course are also eligible to receive the NCCER (National Center for Construction Education and Research) credentials in HEO CORE curriculum.
