Vance-Granville’s Business Administration program invites you to an engaging speaker series this semester, featuring esteemed local business leaders and entrepreneurs. The inaugural speaker, Adrian Marable, will present on the topic “The Modern Entrepreneur: The Path to Business Ownership.”
The first event in this series will take place at noon on Wednesday, March 19. Guests may attend in-person at the College’s South Campus (Room G2116 Hyflex), join the broadcast event at another VGCC campus, or watch from their own device via Webex.

Meet Adrian Marable
Adrian Marable is an entrepreneur and investor focused on long-term business growth. His impact fosters transparency, empowers employees beyond daily tasks, and enhances efficiency and retention. Passionate about business operations, talent development, and inclusivity, he bridges the gap between technical and non-technical founders.
With nine certifications in business operations and process improvement, Adrian holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and an MBA in Finance. His career spans financial services, engineering, and IT, working with firms like New York Life, the Department of Defense, Ingersoll Rand, and Goodyear. He has played key roles in organizational transformation, mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures at Fortune 500 companies, including Bank of America, Direct Chassis Link, Inc., and Manufacturing Techniques, Inc.
Adrian’s collaborative approach helps businesses forecast success, mitigate risks, and enhance employee and customer experiences. He was honored with the 2019 David Brady Award for his commitment to colleagues, clients, and communities. Recognized for fostering crucial conversations and navigating organizational change, he leads without needing the title. His initiatives in team-building, workshops, and community efforts promote equality and inclusion.
In 2021, Adrian published After the Pitch: How to Think Like an Investor and Secure the Startup Funding You Deserve. He lives in Concord with his wife, Ebony, and daughter, Payton.
