Starting Monday, Feb. 17, 2025, Building 1 on Vance-Granville Community College’s Main Campus will temporarily close to the public due to scheduled renovations. Students and visitors should note that all services and staff offices usually found in this building have temporarily relocated to other buildings on the campus.
Locating impacted staff
During renovations, front desk services may be found in Building 8, located immediately to the right of Building 1 when facing its front entrance. Business Office services have relocated to Building 9 (Civic Center), located immediately to the left of Building 1. To find a specific member of our staff, please use our Faculty/Staff Directory.
Vanguard Grill + Snack Bar
The Vanguard Grill + Snack Bar, located on the courtyard level of Building 1, will not be operational while the building is closed. So that students and employee continue to have dining options on campus, local food trucks will serve breakfast and lunch 7:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. each weekday. To see the current food truck schedule, visit VGCC’s official Facebook or Instagram. (Note that accepted forms of payment may vary. For the most accurate information about a specific food truck, please contact the vendor directly.)
As of fall 2025, the Vanguard Grill is scheduled to reopen on November 3.
Notice to VCECHS students, staff, and visitors
Many Vance County Early College High School students and staff pass through Building 1 enroute to VCECHS facilities. During renovations, this path will not be accessible. VCECHS students, staff, and visitors should access the school via the outside stairwell between Buildings 1 and 9 (Civic Center) leading to the campus courtyard.
