From The Foundation: Thank You for Helping Fight Food Insecurity

|
News

On behalf of The VGCC Foundation,

A heartfelt thank you to all of our amazing vendors, shoppers, and supporters who came together to make our 4th Annual “Fill the Pantry” Craft Show such a wonderful event! From the talented vendors who shared their creations to every shopper who purchased an item, made a donation, or helped spread the word, we are so grateful for your support.

While the crafts, shopping, and fellowship made for a fun day, the true purpose of this event is to support the VGCC Food Pantry and help ensure our students have access to the food and resources they need to succeed.

Thanks to your generosity, we raised $1,713.00 and collected 726 items to help stock our pantry shelves and support VGCC students facing food insecurity.

This is what community looks like: coming together, lifting one another up, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of our students. Every dollar, every donated item, and every act of kindness helps us continue our mission of Building Futures: Empowering Students. Strengthening Communities.

Thank you for being part of something bigger than a craft show. Together, we are changing lives, one student at a time!

About The Vance-Granville Community College Foundation

Established in 1976, The VGCC Foundation (VGCCF) is the official fundraising arm of Vance-Granville Community College and a separate 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The Foundation supports VGCC students and programs through scholarships, emergency assistance, food pantry support, capital projects, and other initiatives that advance student success and strengthen the communities VGCC serves.

Numerous individuals, industries, businesses, civic groups, churches, and College employees have endowed scholarships through The Foundation. Tax-deductible donations to VGCCF have often been used to honor or remember a person, organization, or industry with a lasting gift to education. VGCCF has over 300 endowed scholarships for students—more than any other program of its kind in North Carolina.
