VGCC Offers Holiday Floral Design Course

Want to learn how to make your home look festive for the upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays? Then the Holiday Floral Design course being offered at Vance-Granville Community College should be just the thing for you.

The 18-hour course will begin Nov. 10 and run each Wednesday from 7 to 10 p.m. through Dec. 15 in Room 5230 on VGCC’s main campus.

Connie Roberson, who works at John Mundy’s Fashion Flowers & Accessories in Henderson, will teach the course. She has more than 20 years experience in floral design.

Roberson will provide an introduction to making holiday wreaths and table centerpieces, as well as other decorative items, from both fresh and silk flowers. She will provide a list of materials students need at the first class.

Cost of the course is $25, to be paid the first night. For more information and to pre-register, call the VGCC Continuing Education Department at 492-2061, extension 316.
