VGCC Endowment Fund introduces online giving

There is now a new, convenient way to support Vance-Granville Community College by making a contribution to the college’s Endowment Fund online. A secure webpage is now available to give to the VGCC Endowment Fund at www.vgcc.edu/endowment-online-gifts .

Donors can choose to give either by credit card or direct debit from a bank account. They can also choose to set up a recurring gift in a certain amount that will be made automatically to the Endowment Fund on either a monthly or a quarterly basis.

“We’re excited to be able to offer this new method by which members of our community can quickly and easily support our students and the mission of Vance-Granville Community College while promoting sustainability,” said Endowment Director Eddie Ferguson. “We greatly appreciate the generosity of our supporters, who have established more than 300 scholarships and funded a number of worthwhile college initiatives.”

Donations made on the VGCC website are processed by Charleston, S.C.-based Blackbaud, which has been serving the nonprofit and education sectors for 30 years. Blackbaud works with more than 27,000 customers in over 60 countries that support higher education, healthcare, human services, arts and culture, faith, the environment, independent K-12 education, animal welfare, and other charitable causes.

Through the Endowment Fund , VGCC has awarded more than 8,800 scholarships to students since 1982. Scholarships have been endowed by numerous individuals, industries, businesses, civic groups, churches and the college’s faculty and staff. Tax-deductible donations to the VGCC Endowment Fund have often been used to honor or remember a person, group, business or industry with a lasting gift to education.
