Full-time employees who have joined Vance-Granville Community College in recent months attended the New Employee Orientation on Oct. 9. New employees had a chance to meet with VGCC vice presidents and various department chairs. They had informative sessions discussing topics such as VGCC’s Mission and Vision, Branding, the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP), Title IX and mental health, campus safety, the Clery Act, VGCC’s Endowment Fund and human resources policies. New employees’ knowledge of Vance-Granville was also tested during an “Amazing Race”-style game. Participants were divided into groups and sent on a treasure hunt. They raced to solve a sequence of clues, which led them to visit a department in each building on Main Campus.
