IT – Healthcare Informatics
The Healthcare Informatics (HBI) track in the Information Technology degree is intended for computer professionals, nurses, or medical office assistants who plan to work with healthcare providers, hospitals, or medical offices.
The program consists of a concentration in healthcare terminology, medical legal issues, medical insurance, with a heavy concentration on storing and maintaining confidential patient information and the business process.
Graduates should qualify for entry-level positions of employment with Insurance Carriers, Hospitals, Medical Offices and government agencies.
A student can acquire an Applied Science degree with and emphasis in Healthcare Informatics (A25590H), Healthcare Informatics Support Certificate(C25590H), and Industry-recognized certification exams in the curriculum.
