Dental Office Administrative Assistant Certificate
The Dental Office Administrative Assistant (DOAA) certificate supports students in building a foundation in the dental terminology and administrative procedures needed to be successful at the front desk of a busy, dental practice. Students will learn dental terminology, dental office procedures, and dental billing and coding. Students should develop skills in computer technology, effective office communications, and in submitting claims and preparing patient statements. Students will also discover the qualities and skills needed to excel in a career as an administrator in a dental practice.
DOAA certificate graduates will be prepared for positions as dental office assistant, dental office receptionist, dental office front desk, dental office coordinator, and other administrative positions in dental practices across the area.
Successful completers will earn 12 credit hours that can be applied toward the Medical Office Administration Associate in Applied Science Degree.
