VGCC to hold Personal Enrichment Open House

The Continuing Education division at Vance-Granville Community College is inviting the public to an Open House to showcase the work of students in Personal Enrichment classes. The event is set for Monday, Nov. 30, from 5 until 7 p.m. in Building 5 on the college’s Main Campus in Vance County.

In room 5230, work by students in various Painting classes will be on display. Room 5227 will feature the products of students in Ceramics and Dollmaking. Finally, Quilting students’ creations will be in room 5201.

“We want the community to see the talent and artistry of our students first-hand,” said VGCC Dean of Continuing Education Dale Fey. “Some of our wonderful instructors and students will be at the open house with a selection of their work, in some cases still in progress. They will be able to answer questions from visitors about the types of Personal Enrichment classes they can take at one of our four campuses.”

The purpose of the Personal Enrichment program is to provide lifelong learning for adults to meet individual needs and interests and contribute to the community's overall cultural, civic and intellectual growth. These affordable, non-credit classes allow students to explore their personal passions and hobbies, learn new skills and enjoy their leisure time.
