VGCC Offers Nursing Assistant ClassVGCC Offers Nursing Assistant Class In New Franklin Campus Building

A Nursing Assistant I course will be offered in the new classroom building at Vance-Granville Community College’s Franklin County Campus, beginning in January 2006.

Classes will be held during the day from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., beginning Jan. 17 and running to March 17, at the campus on N.C. 56 west of Louisburg. The new 17,000-square-foot classroom building has recently been completed, and the first classes in it will be held in January.

Registration for this class will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 3. To register, a person needs proof of a negative TB skin test, their Social Security number, a picture identification card and the $95 registration fee.

Upon successful completion of the course, graduates will qualify as certified Nursing Assistants I. Jobs are available to certified nursing assistants throughout the area.
