VGCC Offers Financial Workshop At Franklin County Campus

Vance-Granville Community College will offer “Financial Workshop for Individual Investors” at its Franklin County Campus in Louisburg.

The five-week introduction to financial planning will be held on Wednesdays, Sept. 27-Oct. 25, from 7 to 9 p.m. Ed Armstrong, investment representative with Edward D. Jones & Co. in Louisburg, will teach the course.

Armstrong said the classes will include types of investments, including stocks and bonds and mutual funds, as well as life insurance needs, disability and long-term care insurance, annuities, estate planning, and inflation protection.

It will be an interactive class in which participants are encouraged to ask questions and to share their investing experiences, Armstrong said.

Cost of the course is $22.50, plus $8 for the cost of the textbook.
