VGCC Offers Drafting, Design Course In Fall At South Campus In Granville

AutoCAD 2004 software is the two-dimensional drafting and detailing tool and three-dimensional design tools used by more designers worldwide than any other computer software.

Area residents can learn how to use this software in a class at Vance-Granville Community College’s South Campus in Granville County this fall.

AutoCAD is used in a variety of professions such as engineering, architecture, manufacturing and even landscaping and interior design. It is a computer-assisted drafting program designed to let users quickly and easily create drawings and blueprints that once took hours or days. Changes can be handled rapidly in AutoCAD.

In the Vance-Granville class, students will learn how to create basic drawings and then build upon them. The class is designed for beginners with little or no drafting or computer experience.

Classes will be held on the South Campus on N.C. 56 between Butner and Creedmoor, will begin Sept. 1 and will meet on Thursdays evenings from 6:30 to 9:30. Derrick Devigne will teach the class.

For more information about the AutoCAD class, and to register, call Ann Behar, VGCC Computer Center coordinator, at (252) 738-34127, or the South Campus at (919) 528-4737.
