VGCC Offers Advanced Shag Dancing Class

Attention, shag dancers: here’s the chance to increase your skills.

Vance-Granville Community College will offer advanced shag dancing lessons, beginning Nov. 16. The classes will be held on Tuesdays from 7 to 8 p.m. and will run four weeks, ending Dec. 7. Classes will be held in the lower level lobby of the Civic Center on VGCC’s main campus in Vance County.

Ronnie McMannen of Durham, who has taught dancing throughout the Triangle and who has taught shag dancing at VGCC before, will be the instructor for the advanced classes.
