VGCC Holds Seminar on Stress Management

Vance-Granville Community College’s Small Business Center will offer a free seminar, entitled “Stress Management,” in December. The seminar will be held from 9 a.m. until noon on Tuesday, Dec. 2 in room 7107 of Building 7 on the college’s main campus in Vance County.

Participants will learn about the heavy price that businesses and individuals pay for physical and emotional problems resulting from chronic stress.

Mike Collins of Wake Forest, president of The Perfect Workday Company, will lead the three-hour seminar. Collins, who has led numerous well-received seminars at VGCC, has a bachelor’s degree from UNC-Chapel Hill and a master’s degree from Duke University. Collins will offer practical suggestions for lowering stress and dealing with difficult people.

VGCC Small Business Center Director Diane Finch advised that space is limited for this free seminar. To reserve a seat, pre-register by calling the Small Business Center at (252) 492-2061, ext. 3275 or ext. 3240.
