VGCC Franklin Campus Offers Golf Instruction

Warmer days and greening grass can only mean one thing for many people – the beginning of golf season!

Vance-Granville Community College has just the thing for those who are just taking up the game or who need some sound, basic instruction in its finer points.

The Franklin County Campus will sponsor a course in Beginning Golf on Tuesday evenings – April 13, 20 and 27 and May 4 and 11 – at Bull Creek Golf & Country Club. Classes will be held at 6 p.m. at the course off N.C. 56, about four miles east of Louisburg.

Jack Edgerton, Bull Creek golf pro, will instruct the class. He will take students through the entire golf swing and will cover putting, chipping and driving. The final class will be spent on the course, putting what has been learned to practical use.

The cost of the course is $60. Interested persons should register by calling the Franklin Campus at 496-6604.
