VGCC Cosmetology Students demonstrate skills in Bridal Competition

Cosmetology students at the Main Campus of Vance-Granville Community College recently competed against one another to design beautiful wedding-day hairstyles for brides. The student stylists expressed their creativity by incorporating makeup and jewelry on their mannequin heads in many cases. Students, faculty and staff members voted for their favorite designs.

Pictured above, from left: the winner was student Angelia Fajri of Henderson, followed by Angela Ray of Norlina in second place and Amber Warren of Oxford rounding out the top three. Each received hair products and implements as prizes. All are students in Magnolia Hunter’s Cosmetology Concepts I class.
