VGCC Class Helps Health Care Professionals with Spanish

A course in the Spanish language specifically designed for health care professionals will be offered at Vance-Granville Community College’s Franklin County Campus this fall.  Classes will be held on Saturday mornings, from 9 a.m. until noon, Sept. 16 – Nov. 18. 

Instructor Ruth Diaz will provide health care professionals with the basic skills to successfully process incoming patients using Spanish.  Students will learn to verbally communicate at a basic level with Spanish-speaking patients. 

The cost of the course is $60, plus $21.35 for a medical terminology book.
