VGCC Alumni Association Sets Meeting

The Vance-Granville Community College Alumni Association will hold its first meeting of the fall at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, in Room 1107, Building 1, on the main campus in Vance County.

Focus of the meeting will be to welcome new members and begin planning community outreach and fund-raising projects for the 2000-2001. Last year’s projects included a food drive for flood victims and collecting Christmas stuffed toys and blankets for flood-displaced families in Tarboro.

All graduates of the college from a degree, diploma or certificate program and other former students who completed at least 40 semester hours are eligible for membership and encouraged to join the association. They are welcome to attend the Sept. 20 meeting.
