VGCC Adds Daytime Continuing Education Computer Classes to Warren Campus Schedule

Vance-Granville Community College will add daytime continuing education occupational extension computer classes at the Warren County Campus, beginning early in 2002.

These shorter computer classes have been limited to evening hours at the Warren campus in the past. However, the recent upgrade of a computer lab has made possible the offering of daytime classes.

Vance-Granville officials believe the new classes, to be held on Fridays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., will be ideal for Warren County residents who do not like to venture out at night. Additionally, the college believes employers will appreciate the ability to send employees for computer training nearby during business hours.

Beginner’s Class for Computer and Internet Skills, Excel – Spreadsheets, and Word – Word Processing are the first classes to be offered in Spring Semester 2002. More will be added if there is sufficient interest, VGCC officials said.

Call the Warren County Campus at 257-1900 or the Main Campus Computer Center at 492-2061, ext. 3417 for class dates, additional information and to register for the classes.
