urse Aide I Classes Offered at VGCC Warren Campus

Vance-Granville Community College will offer a Nurse Aide I course at the college’s Warren County Campus in Warrenton, starting Nov. 6 and continuing through Jan. 25, 2007. Classes will be held Monday through Thursday, with lectures from 8:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., and clinical training from 7:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. The Nurse Aide I program is designed to prepare students to become Certified Nursing Assistants. VGCC’s certification programs offer classroom education, laboratory training, and clinical experiences in local nursing homes and hospitals. Jobs for CNAs are available at nursing homes, physicians’ offices and other healthcare facilities.Registration is ongoing. To register for the course, a student should bring a Social Security card, a picture ID and a TB skin test. There are no pre-requisites for this course.The cost of the course, including tuition, insurance and student fees, is $93. Students will also purchase a textbook and uniform.
