Scholarship Donation

Todd Wemyss, left, site manager of Glen Raven Inc. of Norlina, presents $20,000 from his textile company to President Randy Parker of Vance-Granville Community College for the college’s Endowment Fund and Scholarship Program. Glen Raven is the largest corporate donor to VGCC’s Endowment Fund and has now given more than $243,000 to endow scholarships at the school. These include four Glen Raven Presidential Scholar Awards, each worth $1,200 annually, and a Presidential Merit Award worth $1,000. Glen Raven scholarships are awarded to deserving Warren County students at Vance-Granville.
