Franklin Regional Medical Center Gives Annual Scholarships

Franklin Regional Medical Center recently established two annual scholarships for nursing students at Vance-Granville Community College.  Current VGCC students enrolled in the Associate Degree Nursing program with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher will be eligible for the scholarships.  Each scholarship is worth $2,500, which would pay for tuition and books.  Recipients would commit to maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher, to be available to work at Franklin Regional throughout the academic year and to work for Franklin Regional for two years after graduating.

The first scholarships will be awarded this September and are scheduled to be awarded annually.  Applications are available through VGCC’s director of nursing, and should be mailed directly to Franklin Regional.  For more information, contact Becky Jansen at (919) 497-8403.
