Dealing With Gender Stress In Business Subject Of Free VGCC Seminar Sept. 27

Understanding the different ways men and women handle stress in the workplace can lead to greater success in business.

Vance-Granville Community College will present a free seminar, “Less Gender Stress and More Business Success,” on Tuesday, Sept. 27, from 9 a.m. to noon in Room 7107 on the college’s main campus in Vance County.

Emily Ballance, who will conduct the seminar, said men and women have different communication styles, approaches to work and ways of dealing with stress, which often leads to frustration. The seminar will teach attendees how to understand and appreciate these differences and how to communicate in a way that’s more easily understood and which leads to greater business success.

Space in the seminar is limited. Interested persons should pre-register by calling the VGCC Small Business Center at (252) 738-3239 or 738-3240.
