Ten of the graduates are married, four are engaged, and the radiographers have 20 children. Sixteen of the graduates were employed while going to school, and at least 10 of them plan to continue their educations in specialty radiography fields like MRI, nuclear medicine or computed tomography.

Dr. Angela Ballentine, dean of Health Education and Radiography program director, said she was reflecting on when the class of 2005 was at orientation less than two years ago. “I remember the excitement, the inquisitive minds and the anxiety you all felt then,” she said. “The eagerness of your spirit has prevailed over difficulties, trials and tribulations and brought you to this point in your lives.”I encourage you to stay excited, anxious and eager as you were at that orientation wherever your careers take you,” Dr. Ballentine said.

Several awards were presented during the ceremonies. David Centefelli and Lora L. Pittman won Academic Achievement Awards for tying for the highest GPA in the class. Christian Saunders won the Mallinckrodt Award for outstanding clinical performance during the two-years of study.
