Fall 2018 Financial Aid Refund Checks

The first financial aid disbursement for the Fall 2018 semester has been processed for students enrolled in August and/or September starting classes.  Refund checks for excess financial aid were mailed on Wednesday, September 26, 2018.  Students are encouraged to check their Account Summary in WebAdvisor for detailed information regarding their financial aid disbursement(s), excess funds, and/or balance due.  If you have questions regarding your financial aid, please contact the Financial Aid Office at (252) 738-3280.

Apply Now - Wells Fargo Technical Scholarship

The 2018-2019 Wells Fargo Technical Scholarship application is now available.  The scholarship is valued at $500 and distributed in two payments.  (Fall semester, $250; and Spring semester, $250)  The recipient of the scholarship will be selected by the VGCC Scholarship Committee.  Students should submit their completed application, essay and consent form to the VGCC Financial Aid Office.  Application deadline is Wednesday, September 5, 2018.

Financial Aid/Scholarship Opportunity: Forgivable Education Loans for Service

Established by the North Carolina General Assembly in 2011, the Forgivable Education Loans for Service provides financial assistance to qualified students enrolled in an approved education program and committed to working in critical employment shortage professions in North Carolina. For the 2016-17 academic year eligible degree programs may be found by clicking the link below. Degree programs include allied health, medical, education and nursing.  The North Carolina State Education Assistance Authority provides administration for the program.
