Course Description

This online course covers the responsibilities of individuals in the healthcare coding and billing profession. Topics include medical insurance and billing, coding, claims and follow-up claims. Students will learn how to accurately disseminate healthcare information and patient data between the healthcare professional, patients and third-party payers. Upon completion of this course, students will be prepared to sit for the National Healthcare Examination Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS).
