- VGCC will provide the online courses and instructors that are part of the regular course offerings each semester. The college recommends and strongly encourages high schools to coordinate with Dan Alvarado, Director of Counseling at VGCC, concerning specific courses desired and the number of potential students available to take the courses. He can be contacted at alvarado@vgcc.edu or 252-738-3282. The Director of Counseling will direct specific request to the appropriate academic dean for consideration. The academic dean may contact the high school to discuss the request. It is suggested that these course request discussions occur in February or March to plan for fall semester courses and September or October for spring semester courses. This ensures that proper planning and budgeting can occur to accommodate requested courses. Currently, Learn and Earn courses are only available during fall and spring semesters.
- VGCC will provide training for computer lab facilitators and technical assistance for accessing the college's delivery systems. Contact Evelyn L. Harris, Director of Distance Education, at harris@vgcc.edu or 252-738-3254.
- VGCC will provide placement testing when necessary. High schools outside of the VGCC service area may also find placement test service available through a community college in their local area.
