Learn and Earn Textbook Process The high school may choose to purchase textbooks from the Vance-Granville Community College Bookstore or an outside vendor. Learn and Earn students may not charge books individually at the VGCC Bookstore. The high school should send a Purchase Order listing the course name/number and quantity of books needed to Sandra Newton, Bookstore Manager. The Purchase Order should also include a contact name and billing address. The Bookstore Manager will complete the book order and notify the high school when books may be picked up. Books can be shipped to the high school if it is outside of our service area. The high school must pay shipping cost for the books. A representative from the high school must sign the sales receipt when picking up the merchandise from the VGCC Bookstore. The Bookstore Manager will forward the Purchase Order and receipts to Jenny Luffman, Lead Accounting Technician to invoice the high school. The high school can then request reimbursement from the Department of Public Instruction.
