Granville Health System Foundation - Sam Perry Memorial Scholarship 2017
The Granville Health System Foundation established the scholarship in honor of Sam Perry, a physician's assistant (PA), whose specialized medical care earned him deep respect from both patients and peers throughout his career. The Granville Health System Board of Trustees and Granville Health System Foundation Board support and manage the scholarship in order to promote Sam Perry's legacy of compassionate care and personal leadership by providing financial help to Granville County residents pursuing an allied health field career.
The scholarship will be awarded by the Foundation to a Granville County resident who has been accepted into a two-year or four-year allied health program at an accredited school and who intends to pursue a career in the allied health care field. Programs eligible for this scholarship include clinical laboratory sciences, physical therapy, occupational therapy, radiological science, pharmacy, RN, BSN, ADN, LPN, dentistry and related careers, physician assistant, and nurse practitioner. The scholarship recipient will be selected by May 2017. A monetary award of $1,000 will be paid toward the recipient's tuition in August 2017, upon verification of acceptance into an approved program.
