Student Government Association The SGA is designed to promote the general welfare of the college in a democratic fashion and to facilitate communication among the student body, the faculty, and the administration. Student government provides a means through which students can promote interest in student activities both on and off campus. One of the main bodies of the SGA is the Intramural Council, which aims to provide each student the chance to take part in individual, dual, or team sports of his or her choice. Participation in the sports is voluntary; students are invited to participate in as much of the program as interest and time permits. The council will schedule contests, furnish facilities, equipment and officials for activities in which the student body has shown sufficient interest. Representatives are elected both by department and by student organization. Meetings are held in Building 8 Conference Room, and everyone is invited to attend.
