Accidents, criminal actions, emergencies, and suspicious persons or items should be reported to VGCC security as soon as possible. You can contact security officers by
Satellite Campuses
If you are a student or faculty/staff member of VGCC at a satellite campus you can report an incident by the following means:
Emergencies- If you are a victim of a crime on campus or if there is an emergency on campus dial 911 first, then notify campus security by dialing switchboard.
Anonymous and confidential reporting of crime and other serious incidents
Crimes and other serious incidents can be reported on an anonymous or confidential basis, such as an anonymous report of sexual assault or domestic abuse. Victims or witnesses may anonymously or confidentially report an incident by calling the Director of Public Safety at 252-738-3320. We encourage the college community to report criminal activity and suspicious behaviors by calling the college Security Division at (252) 738-3373 or by email.

- Visiting the security office located in Building 2 by the student lounge
- Reporting directly to any security officer you see on patrol
- Using any Emergency Red Phone located throughout the Main Campus
- Using the emergency call stations located in the stairwells of Building 7 Main Campus
Satellite Campuses
If you are a student or faculty/staff member of VGCC at a satellite campus you can report an incident by the following means:
- Reporting directly to any security officer you see on patrol
- Contacting the main number of the campus;
