POSITION: Director of Planning and Research
DATES OF EMPLOYMENT: Position begins in January, 2007 (Full-time Position)

DUTIES: The Director of Planning and Research is responsible for developing and directing institutional research, planning and evaluation. The Director oversees the design and implementation of survey instruments and other student monitoring mechanisms used to evaluate the effectiveness of the educational programs and services. Also collects data and coordinates the distribution and interpretation of results of survey materials and incorporates the data into the planning process; chairs the Institutional Planning Committee and leads the development of the college’s Strategic Plan. Additional responsibilities include supervising the preparation of reports for local, state, regional and national organizations.
QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of Bachelor’s degree is required, Master’s degree preferred. Three to five years experience in institutional research and planning desired, preferably in an academic setting. Good working knowledge of Excel and other database systems required.
