Part-time Hispanic Recruiter/Liaison
Vance-Granville Community College is seeking an energetic individual to recruit and promote college programs and services to the Hispanic/Latino population 24 – 27 hours per week. Duties include working with college directors and coordinators to recruit students for classes in English as a Second Language and other courses. The Recruiter/Liaison will work closely with public schools, community agencies, churches and civic groups to build an understanding of the Hispanic culture and challenges. The individual will be responsible for maintaining the Spanish webpage and the resource center. The position is based at the Main Campus in Henderson but will also serve the college’s four-county service area. Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred. Must be proficient in the Spanish language, have excellent computer skills and have the ability to communicate well will all segments of the community. Familiarity with literacy and basic skills instruction also desired.
