Information and Registration Sessions
Information and Registration Sessions will be held approximately once each month. During these sessions, you will receive a presentation on the online programs offered, register for enrollment in the current or next semester, and be given an opportunity to ask any questions you still have about the Literacy Online programs. Previously enrolled (not current) and potential students interested in our Adult High School Diploma program or the GED program will be required to attend a session. Even if you have registered by some other means (in person, by phone, or on line), you will still need to attend one of these sessions.

Potential online students who are 16 or 17 years old must first attend an Information Session for Minors (click here for schedule) prior to attending an Information and Registration Session. They will be required to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Call the college campuses to check out the times and dates for the Parent/Minor Sessions.

PLACEMENT TEST: If an attendee has not previously had an academic assessment (also known as a "placement test"), that attendee must take the placement test prior to attending the Information and Registration Session. The "placement test" may be taken while Vance-Granville is open any Thursday evening at 6:00 PM or any Friday morning at 8:30 in the GED testing lab (VGCC Main Campus, Building 7, Room 7211).  If placement testing at one of the other campuses would be more convenient the schedules are below

South Campus (Creedmoor) - Tuesday, 6:00 PM, Room 136

Franklin County Campus (Louisburg) - Friday, 8:15 AM, Building 5, Room 5114

Warren County Campus (Warrenton) - Friday, 8:30 AM, Building 1, Room 104

The prospective student will be notified of the results of their placement testing prior to being scheduled for attendance at an Information and Registration Session.

Attendees must bring the following to the sessions and/or to the "placement test":

  • A picture ID, such as a driver's license.
  • Proof of NC residency.
  • For high school students, an official transcript from the last high school attended.

Location of the Information and Registration Sessions is as follows:
