Signing up for an Online Learning class couldn't be easier. We give you three different ways to register, but you still must attend one of the scheduled Information and Registration Sessions before your registration process is complete:

  • Register in Person: Drop by our Main Campus - Room 7320. We will schedule you for an Information and Registration Session. Otherwise, contact us at literacy@vgcc.edu for more information and to schedule your attendance at the Information and Registration Session. There is no cost for residents of North Carolina who do not have a high school diploma. We'll then send you via email step-by-step instructions for getting started.

  • Register by Phone/Mail: Call us at 252-738-3212. We'll ask you a series of questions and fill out the registration form ourselves. There is no cost for residents of North Carolina who do not have a high school diploma. We'll send you via email step-by-step instructions for getting started.

  • Register On Line: (This function is currently unavailable). Fill out the online form on your screen completely. Use a Course Title of High School, GED, or Literacy when completing this form. When entering payment information, please enter all zeroes for the credit card number, as this is a required field. Don't worry; this is an encrypted transaction so it is secure. Once your registration information is received, it will be processed and instructions for getting started will be e-mailed to you within 24 hours or the next business day.

The information you receive as a result of registering using one of the processes above will guide you to and through your next steps to get started pursuing your high school diploma or your GED online
