Complete following assignments
  1. Complete all English Skills XII lessons/tests
  2. Complete lessons/tests for two of the novels
  3. Complete lessons/tests for one of the short stories
  4. Complete all Writing XII lessons/tests, if assigned


Prepare and provide to your instructor as a part of your "Writing" lessons for grading
  1. Submit a narrative poem of at least 20 lines in standard poetry structure.
  2. Submit a matching resume and cover letter.
  3. Submit a 500+ word persuasive controversial subject research paper on a subject of your choice.
  4. Submit two 200+ impromptu speeches in written form on 2 topics (some possible topics listed below).
    Impromptu Speech- Possible Topics
    a. Are we living in a run-away technology?
    b. Should the President be immune to law suits?
    c. Are the aged in the U.S. living in dignity in our society?
    d. What is the best solution for our homeless problem?
    e. Should women be allowed in combat?
    f. Are our schools teaching skills that young people need in our society?
    g. How should the U.S. deal with terrorist acts?
  5. If not previously submitted in our high school program, submit a 1500+ word research paper on a subject of your choice in MLA format.
  6. 250 - 500 word analysis of each of the 2 novels completed above. With the analysis, show how this story could fit in today's society.
  7. 250 - 500 word analysis of the short story completed above. With the analysis, show how this story could fit in today's society .
  8. Prepare a glossary of 25 new words identified during this course including the Word, its Definition, and the Origin of the word
