How to Enroll in Huskins Courses
Admission Guidelines
All students who enroll in one or more Huskins courses must complete and submit a Vance-Granville Community College Application. In addition, students must take the VGCC placement test to determine their eligibility and receive approval from their high school guidance counselor. Counselors are responsible for placing all Huskins courses on the student's schedule.
Placement Testing Schedule
Placement Testing, if required, is available at each Vance-Granville Community College Campus Monday-Friday. To schedule a testing appointment, student should contact the campus they plan to attend. Testing is also provided off campus upon request from high school administration. If testing is offered at the high school, the guidance counselor will inform students of the date and time.
Registration Process:
Huskins registration is completed during the first four days of each high school semester. Students will not be permitted to add a Huskins course on day five of the semester. If a student is interested in taking a Huskins course, he/she must inform their counselor prior to the beginning of each semester so that he or she can place that course on their schedule.
