Vance-Granville is committed to the economic growth and development of the counties in its service area: Vance, Granville, Franklin and Warren. Economic development is achieved primarily through helping individuals reach their educational potential for success in life. In addition to the opportunities for instruction offered through VGCC's curriculum programs, Vance-Granville offers specific programs tailored to provide assistance to local business and government in promoting the economic and social well-being of the community.
CEUs
Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are awarded for all Economic & Workforce Development courses approved by the Divison.
Costs
Registration fees and costs of texts and supplies for occupational extension programs vary according to length and content of courses. However, fees are usually minimal. There are no registration fees for most of the law enforcement, fire service, and emergency care courses provided for agency personnel. Persons 65 years of age and older (in-state) may attend with no registration fee. Departmental grants may be available through the Vice President of Community and Economic Development Programs for those students who qualify.
Current registration fees by length of courses are as follows:
- $50.00 for 10 hours or less
- $55.00 for 11-30 hours
- $60.00 for 31-100 hours
- $65.00 for more than 100 hours
Other Costs:
- Campus Security Access Fee - $1.00 per Course
- Technology Fee - $3.00 per Computer Course
Limited grants on a need basis for Economic and Workforce Development
students may be available. Students must complete the application process.

Vance-Granville Community College reserves the right to cancel any class due to low registration and/or attendance.
