Welcome to the VGCC Culinary Arts Website

Culinary Arts at Vance-Granville Community College offers training in the culinary and pastry arts for those seeking professional growth.

Graduates of the two-year VGCC Culinary Arts program will earn an Associate in Applied Science degree and will be trained for work in restaurants, hotels, catering operations, health care facilities, school food service and other food service operations. The program will also provide an opportunity for students who have completed culinary and food service programs in area high schools to continue their education and earn an associate degree.

The Culinary Arts program is located at the Masonic Home for Children in Oxford. To earn the associate degree, students must complete general education courses such as English, sociology, math, psychology and humanities, in addition to their Culinary classes. General education courses may be taken on any of the college's four campuses at which they are offered.
