The
2010 Census — a count of everyone living in the United States — is coming soon! The United States Census Bureau needs VGCC students to become more aware of what the Census is and of how they can help achieve a complete count.
In addition to determining representation in Congress, the Census determines the distribution of more than $400 billion annually of government funding for critical community services, including education. The Census can influence everything from business decisions to scientific research to college tuition grant and loan programs.
Students: Be Counted in 2010!
- Census forms will be mailed to your home in March 2010.
- The form only takes about ten minutes to complete. Return the form in the U.S. mail envelope provided.
- If you commute to school and reside full-time at your parents' or guardians' household, you should be accounted for on your parents' or guardians' household form.
