| This course introduces the student to family child care home environments
with emphasis on standards and developmentally effective approaches
for supporting diverse children and families. Topics include standards for
quality, curriculum for multiple age groups, authentic assessment methods,
business practices, building positive family and community partnerships,
and professionalism. Upon completion, students should be able to design
a family child care handbook that reflects a healthy, respectful, supportive,
and stimulating learning environment. |
