Vance-Granville Community College's Endowment and Scholarship Fund awards over 300 endowments for scholarships (as of June 30, 2010) to full-time students -- awarding more endowed scholarships than any program of its kind in North Carolina. Scholarships have been endowed by numerous individuals, industries, businesses, civic groups, churches and the college's faculty and staff. This year, the faculty and staff continued their annual tradition of supporting the Endowment Fund by contributing more than $17,000. The Endowment Fund also holds an annual benefit Golf Tournament, which raises approximately $20,000 each year. Proceeds from the tournament go towards scholarships and to meet other needs to fulfill the college's mission. In addition, the Endowment office selects VGCC ambassadors, outstanding students who represent the college at special campus and community functions, among other duties.
How to Contribute to the Endowment Fund
Donations may be made by check, cash or credit card. Checks should be made payable to the Vance-Granville Community College Endowment Fund. If you would like to pay by credit card, please contact the Endowment Fund office at (252) 492-2061 ext. 3409.
